Sources and methods
Theseatrow gathers its news from published feeds and indexes of established news publications across Europe that cover its core subject matter, known as the spine: the fare, how to find it, what it includes, and what you are owed when it fails. This includes sources reporting on consumer rights, transport regulation, airline operations, and industry developments. Each qualifying story is processed with automated assistance to extract its factual core, then rewritten into a concise summary. The original publication is always credited as the source, and a link to the full article is provided.
When a fact appears in only one source publication, it is treated as a single report. Such information is included in news summaries with a clear attribution to that single source. It is not elevated to the status of a stable fact for use in the site's permanent reference pages unless it is later corroborated by other reliable reports or official documentation.
The permanent reference pages, such as those for airline fee structures, rights guides, or loyalty programmes, are built differently. They are constructed from stable, verifiable facts that have been established across multiple authoritative sources or are drawn from official regulations and published terms. These pages use a standardised facts table to present information clearly. Each reference page is also accompanied by a credited photograph, sourced from appropriate image libraries or providers.
News coverage on theseatrow is refreshed continuously as new reports are published by the source outlets. The permanent reference pages are reviewed and updated on a scheduled cycle to incorporate any changes to regulations, airline policies, or other confirmed facts. This ensures the guidance remains current while being rooted in established and reliable information.
