IHG One Rewards extends new hotel discount
IHG One Rewards is offering a 15% discount on reward night stays at selected new and refurbished hotels, with the promotion now lasting for six months
IHG One Rewards is continuing a promotion that provides a 15% discount on reward night redemptions at specific new and refurbished hotels. According to a report from Head for Points, the scheme has been restructured to extend the discount period to six months for newly added properties, up from the previous three-month window.
Participating hotels are listed on IHG's website, with the original redemption price shown crossed out next to the discounted rate. This allows members to verify the saving. The list includes numerous hotels across Europe, organized by their final eligible stay dates.

Understanding 'New' Hotel Classifications
Head for Points notes that the list now indicates whether a hotel is a new build, a conversion from another brand, or a refurbishment. This provides clarity for members. The report cautions that a 'new hotel' label does not guarantee a newly constructed property with all modern amenities.
Some listed hotels, particularly the budget Garner brand properties, have simply switched flags to join the IHG portfolio. The Ruby hotels are also not new builds; IHG recently acquired the Ruby brand and is integrating these existing hotels into its system.
How to Find and Book
Members should visit the IHG One Rewards website to see the complete list of participating hotels, which includes properties outside Europe. The discounted rates are displayed alongside the crossed-out standard redemption costs. The offer requires stays to be completed by the specified deadlines for each hotel group.
The restructured promotion offers a longer window to take advantage of the discount at newly added locations.
